As I filter through my pictures it's hard to find people that are speical to me that I haven’t talked about. Well I know I haven’t talked about these four. This is the Weber family Roseanne, Bob, Marie and Stephanie. These two girls have always had a special place in my heart. At the age of three and four they were two of the first children in my daycare and two of the last. I knew someday they would grow up to be beautiful super duper smart women and I was right.

Last Saturday Becky, Jennifer and I headed to Los Banos to visit Kim. I always look forward to spending time with my girls and Saturday was no exception. I think we're at the point where just hanging out and talking is all we need although shopping is always welcome, well that and a $13.00 dollar chimichanga (that's an inside joke).

A Day with The Fam!

Yesterday we spent most of the day at Donna & Ralph’s (Glenn's mom and step dads) for a family BBQ. The whole family was there with the exception of Noah who was at the Salinas Rodeo being a cowboy (ya you read that right a cowboy... YeeHaw!). As most of you know my camera is never out of reach when it comes to most family gatherings and yesterday was no exception. As you can see in this picture my sister-in-laws never disappoint me when it comes to getting their picture taken.....Thanks for todays photo of the day ladies!

Baylee

Camping just wouldn't be camping without our Baylee girl. Besides Glenn she has the most fun out of all of us. She can go to the bathroom anywhere she wants and the mosquitoes leave her alone.....Lucky Dog!

The one that got away!

On our camping trip this weekend Aaron discovered that he really liked fishing. Unfortunately the only thing he actually caught was a little fish which he didn't even realize was on his pole until he reeled it in. He did have a big one but as the title says it was the one that got away!

I took this picture right before he slipped and fell in the water purple cast and all.

Happy Campers?

We started out as Happy Campers but little did we (us girls) know that the bathroom at this rest stop was the nicest bathroom we were going to see for the next two days. I think if the girls knew they were going to have to walk a quarter of a mile and cross a river to get to a bathroom they might have reconsidered how much they really like these Grimes boys. But I gotta give them props they were troopers which tells me they really like those boys.......

Thrifting

If you happened to be a member of my family or a very close family friend you know that thrifting is a big part of our life. We (as in My mom, sister Terry, nieces Meghan and Erin and my son Noah) love thrifting. Whether it be a thrift store, flea market or yard sale we love the thrill of finding that awesome deal and let me tell you we find them. My sister and my mom are the queens of finding the deals and my sister has a way of seeing things most people would pass up. I get lucky now and then and yesterday Noah found a set of hand carved owl bookends and a CD holder (without the CD of coures) at The Salvation Army in Gilroy. One persons junk is another persons treasure....so the saying goes.
My siblings and I were raised going to thrift stores, flea markets and yard sales. My mom has always had a passion for antiques infact 99% of hers came from one of those places. To this day she would rather go to a thrift store then a mall and I can't say that I blame her.

This place is getting stale right?

I know things have been getting a little stale around here. I think I should change the name of this blog to Lori's Photo A Day When She Feels Like It. I really had good intentions of keeping up with things everyday but I'm running out of thing to post and I always seem to have that lingering questions of did I already post this picture....Well I'm here to say that I have not posted this exact picture but I did post one like in on Terry's birthday. I won't be posting on Friday but I have one scheduled for Saturday so be sure and check back. I'll be camping with the family this weekends and I'll be back in the swing of things with some fresh stuff to post just for you so stay tuned...please!

The Softball Family

Let me introduce you to The Roberts Family… Kali is 15, plays third base and can kill the ball. Melia is 14 and can pitch a ball so fast I can barely see it. My sister-in-law Margaret managers all things and does an awesome job. My brother -in-law Duane is the coach and I never heard him yell once, maybe that’s his secret to his team playing like a well oiled machine. This family lives and breathes softball and the best part of it all is they do it together!

Happy Birthday Doodle Bug!

I know this is actually two days late but as the saying goes better late than never right? Char turned four yep that’s right four on July 1st and I can't believe I forgot to do a post. I hope this makes up for it. I love you little Doodle Bug and thanks for bringing us all so much joy!
