19th Birthday Sushi

Sushi (as in raw fish) would normally never touch my lips but on Thursday night that all changed. Aaron ordered this thing called a Caterpillar Roll and some other thing called a Rio del Mar. As I scanned the menu for something fully cooked I settled on a Watsonville Roll which was delish I must say. I had a bite of Aaron’s Caterpillar roll which consisted of white rice, raw fish, seaweed, avocado, and these little orange things on the top which I found out later were fish eggs (I can still taste them popping in my mouth…YUCKO!!) It was the prettiest food I've ever eaten if I could just get passed the raw fish part!

Year Three

This month will be the start of my third year at Natividad Medical Foundation where I hold the position of bookkeeper, greeting card maker, photographer, hater of staff meetings and smart ass. I love my job but what I love most are the people I work with.

New Year, New Name, New Challenge

Okay for those of you who actually read my blog, yes I changed the name AGAIN! You can blame Ami! She came to work yesterday and declared that she was starting a blog for her 2013 quest (you can see her blog link over their on the right) Well I’m not one to be out blogged (don’t laugh). So here I am new year, new blog name and new challenge. What’s the challenge? I’m challenging myself to all the normal stuff like losing weight, being a better person, finding a wrinkle cream the really works, bah, bah, bah. The real challenge here is to take a picture of anything every day and post it here. Why? Because I love photography, I have a Canon 5d mark ii camera that I'm determined to use in manual mode or at least AV mode, I have one photography class under my belt and I just started second. So in other words I am determined to use my camera the way the pro's do. Fingers crossed my pictures will get better and better because you know the camera doesn't lie!

I can't take any credit for the picture or the cute kido's in it but it sure does makes me happy :-)



 

 

Here's to the New Year!

This year has started off with a bang! We celebrated Donna's (Glenn's mom) 75th birthday (the woman doesn't look a day over 65), Glenn's dad Richard who is 90 just got out of the hospital and is home recovering from the flu, Aaron will be turning 19 on the 25th and yes you read that right 19.  Whew I'm tired and we're not even through January yet.
