Today

She is scared but she doesn’t complain. She doesn’t ask why me. She just stands tall and says… “You might scare me but you’ll never beat me… I don’t fight like a girl I fight like a woman and I WILL defeat you”. For she is the strongest woman I know and she is true to her word. She WILL win this battle and she will wear her scar like a war hero.

  1. AMEN! Some people get more than their share of hardship, and some people don't get anywhere near the amount they deserve. Hopefully all of those who get more than their share have good friends and family to do battle with them...every step of the way!

  3. Volunteering at our American Cancer Discovery Thrift Shop, here in Salinas is a wonderful feeling of helping out. Myself and another volunteer do the merchanising in the shop. I have worked there for over 4 years. It all started after my husband, Bill retired and decided that he wanted to share his day and volunteer to help fight the cause..."Cancer!"
As Bill has lost many of his famiy members to cancer. I decided to volunteer too. It has given me the chance to meet many friends, in the shop. And it also breaks my heart when any of us take a donation and to hear the saddness of the people that have lost members of their families to this dreadful demon. To have lost one of our members is the pits!!
May we all continue to think about our way to help in the fight of the "C" word!
My heart goes out to anyone that is in this battle and hope that they can win and remain with us all.
    Love to all...
