First let me give you a little history on "This Bar". It was built in 1977 by Noah and John Keith. Why was "This Bar" built you ask.... well to answer that question you would have to probe the master mind and owner of "This Bar" John Keith and I just don't have the time nor the patience for that so let's keep this on track!....Okay now that you have a little history let me give you my side of "This Bar". Growing up in this family we didn't have a lot of money although one might think we did, I mean come on we had "This Bar". My family is known for "This Bar" because "This Bar" has seen; first to ninetieth birthdays, new year's parties, Christmas parties, costume parties, going away parties, coming home parties, graduation parties, before parties, after parties, bachelor parties, bridal showers, baby showers, intervention and BBQ's just to name a few. "This Bar" does not discriminate, ask for ID or turn away anyone willing to have a good time. In closing I would just like to say I love "This Bar" because of the master mind that built it and because "This Bar" is our FAMILY TRADITION!
Love the picture of Jake and Gary! total classic
ReplyDeleteFamily Tradition, indeed!
ReplyDeletePlease tell John that "This Bar" is beautiful. I
ReplyDeletecan imagine the fun stories "This Bar" could tell.
Well now, "The Bar" I think there should be, "A Book" written about this Historic place! I have been in many-a-bar, but this one has its place to be had by all.
ReplyDeleteI can remember being asked to meet "The Bar Tender", John and his wife Dixie. My VBFF(very best friend forever) Terry, did'nt have to say anything else, after we arrived. The sense of warmth, openness, and enjoyment from these two very special people will always be in my heart.
Bill and I were asked to be part of many memorible parties and events, in "The Bar!"
One in particular was when two girls showed-up and were not sure where they were...Terry and I called them, The "Bim-Bets!"....a memorible time at, "The Bar!" I could go on and on, but the most memorible time is that first time when we stepped-in to meet these two very special people in our life...John and Dixie.
And thanks to Lori for sharing this blog with all.
Love you...
Joyce
Awww thanks so much for those very, very kind words Joyce! Just to let you know I was going to mention the "Bim-Bets' but I just couldn't find the right place to put that story and Herbie trying to bite one of them...he was such a good dog!
